Tires have special, soft rubber compound racing rim and tire and directional treads. Better traction racing rim and tire and braking on wet or dry roads. Continuous center groove (offset on rear tires) racing rim and tire and the side channels help eject water out of the way (reduces aquaplaning for improved grip in wet conditions).
